Rules for Renting a Scooter or Motorcycle from Centaur Cycles & Scooters

1. To rent a motorcycle you must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license with a motorcycle rider’s endorsement, and have at least 2 years experience operating similar size vehicles. There is a mandatory $15 per day insurance charge plus $3 insurance fee to rent a motorcycle.

2. For ANY rental you must have a major credit card with enough credit limit to pay the rental fees and to cover the mandatory $1000 damage authorization. We will get a $1000 pre-authorization on your credit card at the beginning of the rental period.
Note: Pre-authorization will result in a “hold” on the cardholders’ credit for the authorized amount for our exclusive use. The bank has approximately one business week to remove the authorization – usually it’s gone in 48 hours. However the hold on the authorization is at the discretion of the individual bank and is determined by inter-bank procedures. So the hold could be for a longer or shorter time period.  If this "hold" on your credit will cause a problem for you, please contact your bank before undertaking the rental because its removal is beyond our control.

3. You must read, understand, and sign our rental agreement and liability waiver documents.

4. A cancellation fee equal to one full day’s rental will be charged to your credit card when making a reservation.

5. Because we are closed Sunday & Monday,  all Saturday rentals are considered to be 3 Day Specials - Saturday until Tuesday. The bike needs to be returned on Tuesday during working hours.
