And Vespas are also very well-made. Vespas use the reliable, tried and true Piaggio engine. The paint is beautiful (5 layers of baked on enamel), as is the chrome, as is the upholstery. Vespa is a class act all around. 

        
But the main thing about Vespa quality is the solid steel chassis. This is what the chassis looks like underneath the lovely paint. No one else has anything close - other scooters' frames are bolted together. This is why there are still lots of elderly Vespas on the road - the body holds together. This feature causes the Vespa to have a remarkably comfortable and civilized ride. And it handles beautifully. And it's sexy.
